As most of you would know, last week was the David Jones Spring Summer Launch and I was lucky enough to co-host the live screening in Melbourne with Melissa Hetherington. Despite my nerves taking hold and my cold that just wont go away, I warmed up into the spotlight to help share the David Jones Spring Summer collection with 150 DJ’s customers and media. Sitting in Bourke Street Mall, we watched the ‘white carpet’ live, followed by the runway itself, opening with the ever so gorgeous Jessica Gomes dressed in a stand out white jumpsuit. We saw a focus on white from Carla Zampatti, cobalt blue pant suit from Ginger and Smart, great use of pop colours with Camilla and Marc and a wow moment from Camilla in her finale of power prints.
Focusing on four key trends: Black and White, LA Girl, Shore Thing (think South of France style in the 50′s) and Parisian Chic, the Melbourne guests were treated to an intimate fashion parade that I hosted. The striking models came out in four key looks from each of the four trends in which the audience could shop immediately after the show. My hot picks: Bassike Leather shorts, Maurie and Eve crop top and Rachel Gilbert embellished gown.
I wear: Bec and Bridge jeans and Ellery top
