It has been brought to my attention that a good portion of my readers love the outfits I put together but would love to see how I put together a more affordable outfit.
As you know my style theory I have lived by since creating this blog is to mix high street fashion with high end fashion, know what pieces to invest in that will live in your wardrobe for years to come such as shoes, bags, coats and leather and know what pieces you have the freedom to purchase to stay on trend at your leisure and budget.

I wanted to show you that style is what you make it, garments that suit you and your body style is more important than the price tag it cost you. I thought it was important for me to team up with Katies and re-introduce them to you.

Yes, this outfit is from Katies, the shirt, the trench and the denim, all part of their highly anticipated and newly introduced transeasonal collection that boasts on trend pieces in premium fabrics at affordable prices.

As a stylist, my best advice is to always shop around, if you are looking for a denim shirt, look for the shirt not the brand. If you want to try a trend, find an affordable piece that fits into that trend as a trend is a trend for a reason, it stays for a bit and then disappears after a year or so (such as the military style we saw last year). I encourage you to check out the new Katies (HERE- seriously, actually click and see) for yourself and add it to your list of go-to stores when searching for that piece you are looking for. I would love to see you put together a stylish look like I have in their new fabrics Jutecell (comfortable, stylish and a natural, eco-friendly fabric) Lyocell (relaxed look, comfy, soft to touch and drapes well, also durable) and tag me in your outfit so I can see!

In other news, if you follow my snapchat, you would know I went on a little get away with my husband last weekend. We went to Moonah Links resort for two nights (yes, a golf course, yes, my husband is obsessed) and we indulged in two days at the Peninsula Hot Springs. This was a Christmas present from Josh, so it was a long time coming for us to finally get away. It was so nice to re-connect with him, we often get so caught up in or own lives of work, friends and the kids that we forget about US time. I think just by being the two of us, you could call it romantic right? We bathed in the hot springs, we had dinner at 7:30, bed by 9:30, the romantic-est!
