There is nothing I love more than a fashion piece that has texture. This could be anything from sequins, fur, fuzz, mohair, appliqué or 3D motifs. I think it gives a sense of personality to an outfit and this example above is a double dose of it. Have you noticed that I didn’t add accessories?

I just wanted to take time to say THANK YOU to my lovely followers. I have been so overwhelmed with support so far this year and it is because of you, visiting my little ol’ blog that I have received so many amazing opportunities. As you know, last night I hosted and styled a David Jones runway for their Girls Night Out and in the coming weeks I have so much more to share!

Layers, I haven’t really played around with layering as much as I should have. Layers can give your look the pop of colour it needs, length to you hemline or just to make you a little warmer. Speaking of keeping warm, it is freezing here in Melbourne at the moment, my EMU Uggs are getting a work out already and it’s only autumn!

Recently I was asked to define fashion Melbourne style and of course an image of a black and grey outfit came to mind. You hear it all the time about Melbournians loving their monochrome palette mixed with a hint of grey hues and you know what? As a Melbourne woman (through and through) they are right! There is nothing I love more than a great pair of black Zara waxed jeans, a tshirt and black blazer. Don’t forget that although you might be swimming in a pool of greys and blacks, its super important to define your look and make it your own. Exhibit A above!

Metallic top to toe (again) and why not? I love this dress, its the perfect Chanel-esque (I think its illegal for me to say that?) it has a tshirt sleeve which I love and its metallic! Win Win Win!
