Spring Summer Fashion at Werribee Plaza
As you know, I announced in August that I am the proud fashion ambassador for the Werribee Plaza, where I grew up. Part of my role as the ambassador is to attend fashion events held at the Plaza, run styling sessions and be the fashion voice from the centre and a couple of Thursdays ago was my first main appearance. You might have seen on my instagram (here) that my face is everywhere at the Plaza, a surreal thing for me and my family who have shopped there all our lives, even Aston my son was excited and always requests a photo with one of the posters at every shopping outing. That Thursday night was the VIP Spring Summer runway that I hosted to a great crowd of fashion loving locals and I even got to meet a few WWKD fans! I was a little bit nervous, as you do when you public speak but it’s funny that because I was so familiar with my surroundings, it actually wasn’t that bad to be up on stage, in fact, it was a great thrill! I told the audience how excited I was to be there as the Werribee Plaza was where my career in fashion began, at Jay Jays!
After watching the runway, I snuck away with my friend and photographer Karen Woo to do a little shopping and she just so happened to snap me in action. We found some really cool fashion pieces and I suggested to the team at the Plaza that I need to do a blog post on dressing from the Spring Racing Carnival with Werribee Plaza retailers, so stay tuned for this!
In the meantime, jump onto @werribeeplaza instagram to enter a competition to win a styling session with me and $2,000 to spend at the Werribee Plaza! Comp ends this week so be quick!!!
