When I shoot an outfit post in Melbourne, I am always trying to find ‘cool’ locations and backdrops but in Paris, you could shoot anywhere and it would be fab. What gets me every time with Paris is not just the fashion, but the architectural history. Here, I am at Place Vendôme(French pronunciation: ?[plas v??dom]) is a square in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, France, located to the north of theTuileries Gardens and east of the Église de la Madeleine. It is the starting point of the Rue de la Paix. Its regular architecture by Jules Hardouin-Mansart and pedimented screens canted across the corners give the rectangular Place Vendôme the aspect of an octagon. The original Vendôme Column at the center of the square was erected by Napoleon I to commemorate the battle of Austerlitz; it was torn down on 16 May 1871, by decree of the Paris Commune, but subsequently re-erected and remains a prominent feature on the square today. Thanks Wikipedia
Many fashion shows were held in the buildings here, one being the Haider Ackermann one I was backstage at.
I might be back in sunny Melbourne but my Paris coverage is not over. Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the third time felt just as special as it did the first. Coming back to Paris as a fashion blogger gave me a great opportunity to do my outfit posts with the most movie like backdrop in the world, just to step it up a notch.
This is one of my fav outfits I wore during my five days, my matching Shakuhachi cape and skirt in tartan give me great confidence, I am not sure why but I felt so Paris-chic but with a punk edge. As I am loving the matchy/clashy trend I added these tartan stockings in for some dimension.

Why hey friends! Have I mentioned I am totally jealous that I am not at MFW at the moment? Not a day goes by when I don’t think about my trip to Milan back in 2010 and the overloaded suitcases I came home with. If you look at my first couple of posts you can read about my trip.
I am off to Sydney tomorrow to check out the S/S13 ASOS Collection I am super excited to see what amazing pieces they have created. As much as I am an ASOS shopper, I do shop on my-wardrobe.com and I got this Acne skirt recently from there for my Derby Day ensemble! Check it out!
Meet Mister Zimi the fabulous Melbourne designer and my custom made green skirt! Be sure to check out their website and the best thing is that you can custom the pieces to your taste!
