Colour me Melbourne

Aaaah Melbourne, the place to be when all you want to wear is black or grey. To be honest most days (like right this second) I wear my black compression gym pants, black oversized t-shirt, black with a hint of grey hoddie and my black puffer jacket with Nike runners. As a mumsy, getting out and about in this attire is super comfy and between the hours of 7am-5pm if I am not going to a meeting, event or social catch up its basically my uniform.

This outfit above however, to be is the easy Melbourne look, a simple dress with an oversized warm statement grey cardigan.

Ohhh I had my screening interview for the Face of Caulfield just now, decked out in my Aqua Couture orange skirt and a gorgeous Karen Hamilton head piece. I will keep you posted on my progress. On another note, I attended one of our good friends engagement party yesterday and it was so lovely and lots of fun, I will be a bridesmaid and my husband a groomsman later this year at their wedding. Lucky me met a lovely new friend who told me she follows my blog and was excited to meet me, for me that is so rewarding so hi Kate!

Star like you

Lately I have been experimenting with fashion and different ways of wearing it with the sole intention to cut down my spending and to be a little unique. I went to K-mart yesterday and I saw a high-vis jumper in fluro yellow and thought about deconstructing it into a cropped chunky jumper, this isn’t something I would usually do but my creativity juices were a flown’. This dress or actually this slip/nighty from Bellchasse is a fab example of wearing a garment (or in this case an under garment) in another way. I love this star print and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it for day and night. I highlighted it with a minimal black ensemble and I recommend you not only try it yourself with one of your pieces but to also check out Bellechasse for some sexy fashion lingerie x

She got spots

Friday on my mind! Yay for the weekend!

I bought this Scanlan and Theodore top for MBFWA and the purchase was made because I knew it would be a piece that would live in my wardrobe for years to come. Leopard and fur always sticks around fashion and mixed with black you can’t go wrong.
