Til’ dress do us part

Recently I have been attending so many events and at one in particular for a fab new local label called Limedrop. You know, when you attend these events, usually they have a little pop up store or an existing store for you to browse in which my husband is not a fan of because whist he thinks I am out socialising, having a glass or too and admiring a designers new collections, I may or may not slip in a little shopping! Hey! I am supporting the industry! Poor husband is never safe!

Any way, at this Limedrop event, I picked up this floral mini skirt, isn’t the print to die for?? I used this skirt as an overlay for this outfit, over my Aurelio Costarella waterfall dress, just to give it a little something extra. It is very glamourzon isn’t it? Stay tuned for my coming posts as I will show you this mini as it should be.. a mini xxx

Spanish Romantic

It is a stunning Sunday afternoon here in Melbourne and by the pool side we (my sister in law’s and I) are starting to plan our trip to London and Spain S/S2011. Having a wedding to attend in Spain can be quite handy and as I am sure you have figured out by now I LOVE TO TRAVEL!

This look I thought was kind of Spanish, matador yet with a Gothic/Romantic twist. Not to mention how much support I have in Spain! I found this link the other day from Vogue ES.

Oh and some more international sites I found myself on from Dubai and my fav photographer atm (you may know from Harpers Bazaar) Benjamin Kanarek’s Blog. I find it interesting how far behind Australia can be when it comes to blogs… just a thought…

These YSL pieces I picked up at an outlet in Milan and for those international readers- make sure you check out Aurelio Costarella, one of my favourite Aussie designers- I am wearing a vest he made in these shots.

Oh and one last thing… stay tuned for my Christmas Giveaway!

Thanks to my new followers, I appreciate your support xxxx

Christine (thanks to Fashionising.com for this images…my pics came out terrible)

Debuting my Karl Who? tshirt, last night I attended the Designer Series 2 at the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. A sea of fashionistas flocked the Melbourne Town Hall stairs, mingling, showing their best fashion accessories and anticipating the collections that await them inside. It is here where I put the faces to the blogs! My sister in law Georgie and I caught up with our beautiful friend, fellow blogger and boutique owner Cecylia and compared Felder Felderstatement skirts, I wore the studs and CC wore the ring skirt.  I met Tania and Daniel from the uber fashion hub website, Fashionising.com and I was thrilled to thank them in person for connecting me to other fashionisers that lead me to my first ever styling job that kick starting my career! I met Jane Mills and her stunning daughter Charlotte from whatjanesays , Style Wilderness and Cheryl from Business Chic who snapped some pics of us!

Inside, third row back and rummaging through my gift bag, the show begins. My fav Aussie designer, Aurelio Costarella’s collection went way to quick, I would have love to have seen more amazing pieces!!! his stunning collection turned from whimsical neutrals to black for night (I love you Aurelio!)  I am sure we will be seing these pieces on our Aussie ‘it’ girls at the coming events we are looking forward to this year.

I would have loved to have seen the designers of the night play with more statement prints and exaggerated spring colours throughout the show, however my heart was stolen a couple of times, first by Yeojin Bae with a magnificent coral suit (oh how I love colour, tailored suits) and then lastly the queen of accessories Christine wowed me with her oh-so-perfect designer accessories, head wear and jewellery, not to mention the styling of the clothing, mixing prints and patterns and colours- just what I wanted to see :) check out Fashionising.com for the runways images – mine are hopeless

xxx ps: next year I will be front row??? haha fingers crossed

What I am wearing: Karl Who? tshirt, River Island blazer, Asos hat, Felder Felder stud skirt and Georgina Goodman booties.
