The beginning of an Anna Dello Russo inspired series… let’s get Anna-fied!
Due to my obsession with Ms ADR I thought I would play around with some looks that channeled the lady herself with a little help from one of my fav stores in Melbourne Cecylia Boutique! The fashion forward yet very wearable pieces are imported direct from Europe and gave me plenty to play with and portray an essence of the queen of fashion! Stay tuned for 3 more of the ADR series.

Debuting my Karl Who? tshirt, last night I attended the Designer Series 2 at the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. A sea of fashionistas flocked the Melbourne Town Hall stairs, mingling, showing their best fashion accessories and anticipating the collections that await them inside. It is here where I put the faces to the blogs! My sister in law Georgie and I caught up with our beautiful friend, fellow blogger and boutique owner Cecylia and compared Felder Felderstatement skirts, I wore the studs and CC wore the ring skirt. I met Tania and Daniel from the uber fashion hub website, Fashionising.com and I was thrilled to thank them in person for connecting me to other fashionisers that lead me to my first ever styling job that kick starting my career! I met Jane Mills and her stunning daughter Charlotte from whatjanesays , Style Wilderness and Cheryl from Business Chic who snapped some pics of us!
Inside, third row back and rummaging through my gift bag, the show begins. My fav Aussie designer, Aurelio Costarella’s collection went way to quick, I would have love to have seen more amazing pieces!!! his stunning collection turned from whimsical neutrals to black for night (I love you Aurelio!) I am sure we will be seing these pieces on our Aussie ‘it’ girls at the coming events we are looking forward to this year.
I would have loved to have seen the designers of the night play with more statement prints and exaggerated spring colours throughout the show, however my heart was stolen a couple of times, first by Yeojin Bae with a magnificent coral suit (oh how I love colour, tailored suits) and then lastly the queen of accessories Christine wowed me with her oh-so-perfect designer accessories, head wear and jewellery, not to mention the styling of the clothing, mixing prints and patterns and colours- just what I wanted to see check out Fashionising.com for the runways images – mine are hopeless
xxx ps: next year I will be front row??? haha fingers crossed
What I am wearing: Karl Who? tshirt, River Island blazer, Asos hat, Felder Felder stud skirt and Georgina Goodman booties.
Let me introduce you to my favourite wardrobe piece at the moment. My All Dressed Up Skirt! ADU are a Singapore label who I am just adoring right now and with my up coming trip to Singapore in the horizon I thought I would get into the spirit of things! Each piece All Dressed up make is unique, a statement and is named after a famous city . Purchased from one of my fav stores Cecylia and also avail on Net-a-porter for o/seas readers, each time I wear this skirt I get a huge response of people who love it as much as I do. It is such a strong piece and a huge POP of Pink (as mentioned in previous posts), so I teamed it with my fav colour black! Going back to my old saying ‘ A blazer fixes everything’ and adding another statement piece to this look without going overboard are my AMAZING YSL platform shoes!! Oh how I adore the! A purchase from Milano and oh so comfy!
what is your favourite? the skirt or the shoes???… agh! I love them equally the same!! xxxxxxxxxx kisses xx
