Silent Auction bidding!

This polaroid snap of Tania Braukamper and I was taken by Allan from fashionising.com (thanks Allan!)

Me and my cage dress glamed up on Saturday night for the 2010 Fashion Aid Gala. Raising awareness and funds for Mission Australia, the evening was flourishing with a good mix of a, b, c and f grade celebrities, fashion lovers, designers and football WAGS. Jessica Mauboy was the headliner and sang all her hit songs that I love and danced the night away to. I went my friend Cecylia and a table of friends, including my best friend Jasmine, and on the table behind us were our good ol’ friends Tania, Daniel and Allan from my fav web site fashionising.com

Oh oh and I borrowed these Prada shoes and Chanel necklace from a store (and also online store) Love Me & Leave Me! How perfect! I really didnt spend that much on this outfit, it was all borrowed! even this AMAZING!!! asos cage dress from my sister in law!

Dont forget to post a comment on my Giveaway for your chance to win the leopard print belt- quickly before I chose the winner on Saturday!!

Enjoy the snaps, I can wait to read your comments about them! and thanks to my followers for your support xxxx

Aurelio Costarella.

Christine (thanks to Fashionising.com for this images…my pics came out terrible)

Debuting my Karl Who? tshirt, last night I attended the Designer Series 2 at the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. A sea of fashionistas flocked the Melbourne Town Hall stairs, mingling, showing their best fashion accessories and anticipating the collections that await them inside. It is here where I put the faces to the blogs! My sister in law Georgie and I caught up with our beautiful friend, fellow blogger and boutique owner Cecylia and compared Felder Felderstatement skirts, I wore the studs and CC wore the ring skirt.  I met Tania and Daniel from the uber fashion hub website, Fashionising.com and I was thrilled to thank them in person for connecting me to other fashionisers that lead me to my first ever styling job that kick starting my career! I met Jane Mills and her stunning daughter Charlotte from whatjanesays , Style Wilderness and Cheryl from Business Chic who snapped some pics of us!

Inside, third row back and rummaging through my gift bag, the show begins. My fav Aussie designer, Aurelio Costarella’s collection went way to quick, I would have love to have seen more amazing pieces!!! his stunning collection turned from whimsical neutrals to black for night (I love you Aurelio!)  I am sure we will be seing these pieces on our Aussie ‘it’ girls at the coming events we are looking forward to this year.

I would have loved to have seen the designers of the night play with more statement prints and exaggerated spring colours throughout the show, however my heart was stolen a couple of times, first by Yeojin Bae with a magnificent coral suit (oh how I love colour, tailored suits) and then lastly the queen of accessories Christine wowed me with her oh-so-perfect designer accessories, head wear and jewellery, not to mention the styling of the clothing, mixing prints and patterns and colours- just what I wanted to see :) check out Fashionising.com for the runways images – mine are hopeless

xxx ps: next year I will be front row??? haha fingers crossed

What I am wearing: Karl Who? tshirt, River Island blazer, Asos hat, Felder Felder stud skirt and Georgina Goodman booties.

salut3

Allo, Salut!

This outfit is what I call imports anonymous.  On my recent trip to Dubai and  Europe I made a few… just a few purchases (OK, I may or may not have bought an extra suit case to get my purchases home, and may or may not have  shipped a box full of shoes back from London.. who me??? never!)  this outfit was built from my travels; Forever 21 booties from Dubai, Zara military blazer London, with a mix of online shopping; Topshop dress, McQueen scarf (as mentioned earlier posts ago) and my Antonia Goy leggings from Cecylia Boutique.

This is a mish mash military look with a hint of floral and print, any excuse to wear my McQueen scarf I suppose. I don’t know why but when I think of Europe, the song ‘miya hee miya hoo miya ha ha,that numa numa song plays in my head, remember it??? haha I think its because I was in Malta when it came out.

Well I am counting down my days till my Singapore trip, I am looking forward to a Zara top up! (as we cant get it here in Australia)

Ps thanks to all my new followers, I appreciate your support and of course if you follow me I will follow you, so I am following some amazing blogs at the moment!!!.

Enjoy!

Who needs a tan?

Who said you need a tan to look good?? Well, I did for a start. My tan Chloe boots needed to come out of the closet and show off how beautiful they are. I found them in a second hand store in Paris- what a find! apparently a stylist wore them once and couldnt be seen in them again. If only I had this stylist phone number, I would have the best looking feet in town at half the cost!

Actually this outfit is made up of alot of vintage pieces, the shoes, the Chanel necklace and the amazing vintage fur cropped coat is from my lovely friend Cecylia, who generously gave me this for my 27th bday! I am so lucky!

Mixing vintage with new is a great way to make a statement!

What do you think?

Vintage fur jacket, Vintage Chanel necklace, GAS Bijoux cross necklace, Asos denim, Chloe sunglasses and boots, Fendi tan bag and ring, mix of rings from Asos, Fiorina and a Chanel x

Check out this Felder Felder dress from Cecylia. It is exclusive to her store so the lucky purchaser wont be caught in an awkward moment of someone else wearing the same thing. Felder Felder are a London brand with the likes of Rhianna and Florence and the Machine wearing them!
