Well, here it is the bump at its finest! 20 weeks old and feeling fine! The little tacker is kicking away and I will be moving Aston’s cot into the nursery as my Mr 2 will have his big boy bed this week naaawwwwwww!
On another note, I attended the Paspaley Polo in the city on the weekend, its kind of like the races but more relaxed and the men dress ten times more fashionable. I didn’t take my camera but you can check out what I wore to the Polo on my instagram and perhaps be inspired for the Polo in Jan.
Please excuse my grazed knees, my Spring Racing Carnival injury from Stake Day. Yikes! Did I take a fall or what! I am sure you had a chuckle when I posted my bandaged up knees on instagram after the incident. I could have photoshopped them out but, you know, its all part of my fashion journey and if it means rocking the bloody knees trend, then so be it.
I mentioned I am trying very hard to stay fashionable during this pregnancy and as much as possible will continue to wear ‘normal human’ clothing so I can cater for those not pregnant but also for the pregnoids who wish to stay on trend and need my advice to do so.
I did find out the sex of my baby yesterday and I was going to announce it but I think it might be some fun to keep it to myself for a while, I never knew why others found and then kept it to themselves but now I kind of see why, a surprise is always fun!
Myer Marquee Derby Day 2013 the home of the beautiful people, this is no word of a lie and when my photographer Lisa Frieling arrived, it was the first thing she noticed “I can’t believe how beautiful everyone looks” she was right. How could she not be when we were brushing shoulders with (wait for it..) Tyson Beckford (exclusive guest for Myer) Kris Smith (need I say more?) Jen Hawkins and her hubby Jake Wall, Bondi Vet and Laura Dundovic, just to name a few!
The theme this year reflects Myer’s latest campaign and portrays a hint of Australiana without all the acubras and witchettygrubs rather gourmet barramundi burgers, earthy floral arrangements and a cockatoo image overlooking the crowd from behind the bar. The weather was warm just like our country and guests used the complimentary fans to keep cool whilst enjoying a refreshing beverage and soaking up the eye pleasing atmosphere. I remember from last year that the Myer marquee was the place to end your day on a high, with the dj turing it up for the guest to dance the day away.Being the pregnant and exhausted chick sitting down sipping icy cold water, it was so nice to see the smiling faces dancing and having a wonderful time, lets just say I was living vicariously through each of them whilst nursing my swollen feet. Bring on Cup!

The Lavazza marquee Derby Day 2013 was all a buzz with fashion, italian food, gorgeous ladies, the hottest dj’s and Poppy Delevingne!
This was my first year in the Lavazza marquee and let me tell you, the talk about it being the hottest marquee in the birdcage is no lie! If only I could eat from the buffet for fresh deli cheese and prosciutto (my favourite of all favourites!) but the crumbed lamb chop definitely made up for it! OK enough about food talk, lets talk fashion and celebs, so who was in the marquee? Our fav WAG’s turned bloggers Nadia Coppolino (Lavazza fashion ambassador) and Bec Judd (looking enviously pregnant in J’Aton and Danica Erard millinery) Mel B, Lara Bingle, Sarah De Bono, forever young Nick Giannopolous and ummmm POPPY DELEVINGNE! Yes, my style icon (second to AdR of course) was an exclusive guest of Lavazza this year!
Seeing her, so natural, so lovely and friendly made me not so ‘OMG!’ but more like, I think I could actually chat to her (I am a little shy when it comes to those types of situations) She didn’t let me down from the fashion side of things, she wore a custom J’Aton white cut out dress that embodied her style completely! Her millinery, well, I was totally jealous as I really really wish I had a spare $4000 to buy my very own Dolce and Gabbana crown! I was lucky enough to meet her and told her of my jealousy with the crown, we joked that we would just wear it every day like a princess! What a moment!
Forgive me for my lack of posts, firstly, I really wanted you to not look over my amazing giveaway and second of all, ummm I am pregnant and sick! Well, touch wood, I havent been sick for two days which is fantastic, its thanks to coconut water, its the only liquid I can keep down! Basically the last four days I have been at home chilling in the above outfit, what is it about marl grey that makes clothes that much cosier? I love First Base the fashion label at the moment, its basics with a sports luxe chic, just what I love!
What would you think if I created a page on my blog dedicated to all things mumma bubba? would you still be interested? I am toying with this idea at the moment, I mean, it is apart of me and my life and my fashion journey. I am not a ‘mummy blog’ but I am a mummy and a blogger and I think it might be cool to feature some great kids and mum stuff on WWKD without it completely taking over the blog. Let me know your thoughts, I would love to hear them!
