Basking in the beautiful Melbourne winter sun, I was pretty lucky to get away with not having to wear stockings this day. You could say that was kind of lucky because I don’t think stockings would really work with my awesome new Ryder by Arabella Ramsay skirt. It also gave me the chance to play around with using socks into my look, I remember when I first started my blog I did a post on how to wear socks (post here) with shoes and I took from my own tips and worked it with these boots (that I haven’t worn for a hundred years) to give them a little more length! This is kind of a country-chic look don’t you think? It must be the way denim blue works with tans, my favourite!
I kind of feel like the core of my style has snuck away from me lately and I have adapted the easy way to dress instead of my classic statement look. If you take the time to look back at my blog from early 2011 or late 2010 you will know what I mean by a little eccentric and during my pregnancy it was toned down because, well, I was preggo and then the same afterwards but now, it’s so good to be able to delve back into my editorial fashion style, I mean, it is what sets me apart from other bloggers. So, most likely I wouldn’t see you walking down the street in this outfit, nor would you see me (unless it was to a fashion week or fabulous event) but what you could take from it to adapt to your own style would be by taking the idea of using metallic gold in your look or using gold with black.
Fashion is all about finding your own style and find what makes you different!

Give a girl a tiara and she immediately becomes a princess! I am obsessing over anything tiaras/crowns, hair jewellery and hats at the moment and I pulled out this little beauty from my wardrobe for my dress-ups time (aka blog shoot). I could totally see the weirdo stares I would receive if I chose to wear it down the street, but if it was Paris Fashion Week? The paps would be swarming! For now, I am happy wearing it in the comfort of my own back yard, playing make believe in this wedding kind of look… until next fashion week that is.
I don’t think I could ever get sick of the sports-luxe look. As a mumma especially, being comfortable is a prerequisite when it comes to my outfits so pairing some track pants with heels and a nice top is just too easy. Ah, the good old statement metallic top is quickly securing itself as being a hot wardrobe. This green is so vibrant and super cool, you will be seeing a lot of the colour green pop into the stores this season and if you ask me, I love it!
I am soaking up the sun and making the most of what warm sunshine we have left in Melbourne. I am very excited to start piling on the layers and rocking my Carven cobalt blue coat you would have seen I wore in Paris, but for now, this sunshine is the perfect stress remedy. Not that I am super stressed, just busy I suppose and its always a times ten kind of busy when you are a mumma! Next week I get to reveal to you a few special projects I am working on and have been involved in so be sure to check back after your well deserved weekend to see what I have been up to.
For now, I am looking forward to my second Mother’s Day as a mother!
