Shakuhachi in Paris

I might be back in sunny Melbourne but my Paris coverage is not over. Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the third time felt just as special as it did the first. Coming back to Paris as a fashion blogger gave me a great opportunity to do my outfit posts with the most movie like backdrop in the world, just to step it up a notch.

This is one of my fav outfits I wore during my five days, my matching Shakuhachi cape and skirt in tartan give me great confidence, I am not sure why but I felt so Paris-chic but with a punk edge. As I am loving the matchy/clashy trend I added these tartan stockings in for some dimension.

Cape and Skirt: Shakuhachi, Stockings: Topshop, Boots: Acne, Bag: Celine (borrowed from my sister in law) Rings: DuePunti

Army style at PFW

When I saw these pieces in the lookbook, I knew I had to wear it in its entirety. I find it humorous that I only got the odd strange stare whilst wearing this kit here in Paris whereas if it were Melbourne, I could imagine people doing the ‘coo coo’ finger spin beside their temple at me. Funny that! Could Paris be my safe place to express my fashion? I would say hell yes!

Love a little ‘cameo’ appearance by our fav Aussie Candice Lake xo

Paris Fashion Week Day 1 Street Style

Ok, rewind… so I arrived in Paris this morning at 6:30am and after being stuck in nightmare traffic, Georgie and I arrived at our hotel Castille at 8am. Our room, of course was not ready so we decided to do what two ordinary girls would do… we went to Disneyland!

It is freezing here in Paris and there were traces of snow in Mickey’s stomping ground, for this reason, we spend most of the time shopping for my little boy. On arrival back into the heart of Paris, our beautiful room was ready, we showered, changed and hit the building next door, which so happened to be the original CHANEL store! Should I call it fate that I am staying next to the store, that, three years ago was the conception place of my blog? This trip was meant to be and I have a really positive feeling about what lies ahead for me in the next five days. I suppose the fact that only an hour later I see, with my own two eyes, my holy style icon herself, Anna Dello Russo arriving at the Rochas show. Shortly followed by Anna Wintour, Christina Centenera, Grace Coddington, Olivia Palermo and Cara Delevigne.
