You did it again

Matchy matchy again, yes, these pieces are really cool on their own but me being me, I like to have a play. This isn’t actually a top, it’s a bodycon dress that I tucked into the pants, this just shows you another way to make your dollar go further. I probably should have black blazered it which would have look very strong and a little more softer on the eye but I am sorry, today was 38 degrees!

Would you try the matchy matchy or just one half of it?

The expert

Don’t we all want to be an expert at working the colourful print pants into our outfits? You know I like to be creative, but don’t tell me that you can’t pull this look off yourself. The key to making it work is by making the pant the hero and giving it a related support cast, in this case, I chose to work with the coral colour that is speckled in the print and so I pulled out my coral blazer. Let your print tell you what colours to pair them with by choosing one of the colours in the print itself and remember to keep your bottom half darker than your top. Now who is the expert?

Fashion Confident

‘Be fashion confident’ is my motto to live by when it comes to creating an outfit. It was in 2010 when I first started my blog and when I truly experimented with my fashion, I was more then ever inspired by the fashion greats and really found my style. To me, its about standing out and wearing a garment in a unique and different way that in the end works and becomes my style. It can be tricky buying from our favourite High street stores and always see someone else in the exact same piece as you, wearing it the same way. I discovered that if you experiment in mixing and matching your clothes/prints/colours/styles to create a unique and perhaps risky outfit, by just slipping on a pair of heels and showing the world you are confident in what you are wearing, the common eye will adapt and accept your fashion choice.

Big bang!

In 2011/2012 we have seen an explosion of colour, bold and solid, power prints mixed with florals and the like, but taking cues from abroad (as we should) it’s time to move forward from this kelidescope and say hello to the next big fashion thing. Think: watercolours, pastels in prints, neon highlights, mirrored prints and softened blocked colours. Mint, lavender and soft blues should be key in your wardrobe later this year (or now if you are overseas or fashion obsessed) So, keep doing what you’re doing but just tone it down.

So, I am going off with a bang! in my fun crazy bold coloured pants (which I love might I add and I do have a few more months up my sleeve to wear these) and I am ready to welcome all things gelato into my wardrobe!
