High Street- I salute you!

Military aint’ goin’ anywhere, so as we approach Summer and my international friends enter Winter, play around with the trend that defines ‘statement’. Exhibit A above shows an example of creating a military look without blowing the budget. A salute to High Street brands, this look would have cost me approx $250!!! My Brown Sugar pants (which I love, love, love!), River Island jacket and its oh so statement shoulders, Cotton On top underneath, Top shop neck lace (That was also created at Sportsgirl a while ago) oh and my Samantha Wills skull Bangles and Forever 21 ring!

A you know I am experimenting with using make-up as a statement or should I say to complete the look, so I had Melissa Colosimo compliment this military look with subtle lips, smokey eyes and soft defined cheeks! This make-up look is my fav so far! xxxx

Hello to all my new followers! I appreciate your support xxxxx

It’s black, it’s white

Black and White- the classic outfit, hmmm with a bit of a twist! I thought I would mix it up a bit with the pattern pants and t-shirt, sort of a messy yet tailored look thanks to the blazer. A few weeks ago I was sent an email from one of my lovely followers Ellis who made me aware of a t-shirt at River Island I HAD TO HAVE!!! So… here it is, my Karl Marc Coco R.I t-shirt!! So, thanks for the tip Ellis, I have worn this t-shirt a million times so far! Oh and can I just say these Mawi rings are unbelieveable! what a statement!!! thanks to my friend Cecylia who stocks them in Australia.

Well, from all the lovely comments about my Miu Miu’s it seems they were a great purchase! cant wait to wear them!

Congratulations to the Louise, the winner of the Clover Leopard belt Giveaway!!! xxx

Flow

I am all settled back into home and reality from my holiday to Indonesia and Singapore last week. As I slowly unpack my over packed suitcase, I admire my beautiful purchases I collected over the three shopping days. Zara, Topshop and River Island got a good work out, I think I purchased almost one of everything for those stores. I was a little disappointedwith the shoe selection, however I did manage to pick up some stunning black and fur heels from Zara, that I am sure I will feature in my coming posts. Oh I was soooo close to purchasing the Miu Miu leopard print heels, but it was between those and a tan Chloe bag… Chloe won because I will use it to death and as mentioned in past posts I was in desperate need of the perfect tan bag! I cant wait to show you all my purchases as I put my looks together each day, so stay tuned…

Thanks to all my readers and new readers for all your lovely comments, I get excited when I see I have a new comment on my beloved blog!! I also love checking out your blogs too xxxx

River Island blouse, Chanel headband, Asos ring, Alldressedup skirt and belt, Sportsgirl stockings, Friend of Mine fur boots.

Christine (thanks to Fashionising.com for this images…my pics came out terrible)

Debuting my Karl Who? tshirt, last night I attended the Designer Series 2 at the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. A sea of fashionistas flocked the Melbourne Town Hall stairs, mingling, showing their best fashion accessories and anticipating the collections that await them inside. It is here where I put the faces to the blogs! My sister in law Georgie and I caught up with our beautiful friend, fellow blogger and boutique owner Cecylia and compared Felder Felderstatement skirts, I wore the studs and CC wore the ring skirt.  I met Tania and Daniel from the uber fashion hub website, Fashionising.com and I was thrilled to thank them in person for connecting me to other fashionisers that lead me to my first ever styling job that kick starting my career! I met Jane Mills and her stunning daughter Charlotte from whatjanesays , Style Wilderness and Cheryl from Business Chic who snapped some pics of us!

Inside, third row back and rummaging through my gift bag, the show begins. My fav Aussie designer, Aurelio Costarella’s collection went way to quick, I would have love to have seen more amazing pieces!!! his stunning collection turned from whimsical neutrals to black for night (I love you Aurelio!)  I am sure we will be seing these pieces on our Aussie ‘it’ girls at the coming events we are looking forward to this year.

I would have loved to have seen the designers of the night play with more statement prints and exaggerated spring colours throughout the show, however my heart was stolen a couple of times, first by Yeojin Bae with a magnificent coral suit (oh how I love colour, tailored suits) and then lastly the queen of accessories Christine wowed me with her oh-so-perfect designer accessories, head wear and jewellery, not to mention the styling of the clothing, mixing prints and patterns and colours- just what I wanted to see :) check out Fashionising.com for the runways images – mine are hopeless

xxx ps: next year I will be front row??? haha fingers crossed

What I am wearing: Karl Who? tshirt, River Island blazer, Asos hat, Felder Felder stud skirt and Georgina Goodman booties.

K is for Karl

Living in Australia is a blessing, we are so lucky, our country is beautiful, peaceful and eventful… however because we are SO FAR AWAY from everyone else it is so hard to get my mitts on anything with Karl’s name on it!! For instance: This amazing Karl Who? t-shirt and tote!!!

I searched the web high and low to see who has not sold out and who will ship to the land where people hitch a ride on a Kangaroo to get to work (hehe not true to those who believe it!!). I paid $80 to get the Diet Coca Cola with Karl on it from Colette  ( and no I don’t regret it) but this is a pure example of the lengths that we Aussies have to go through to get desired international fashion to our shores.

Although I am kinda glad they don’t because it makes my o/s trip purchases exclusive… I would like to see Zara have an online store (apparently it is coming- but will they ship to us?) and River Island!!! c’mon mate!

Any who- to have a happy ending, I did find a store in Singapore , ACTUALLYACTUALLYwho stock the Karl Who? Naco-Paris products and they went above and beyond in providing me with my very own Karl Who? t-shirts!!! aghhhhh!!I am so excited! I am picking them up (yes, them, one in each colour!) when I visit next week! wooooo hoooo!  oh and FYI here are the other Naco-Paris t-shirts also avail from the super amazing store  ACTUALLY ACTUALLY.

Oh and a word to my followers THANK YOU!!! xxx
