A new take on the little black dress and how to wear it in a more casual way, don’t you think? This is an updated version on a post I did back in 2011, actually I am not sure which post I like better, this one or the old one (see here) there isn’t much difference, just the dress and shoe change, Oh and the fact that I was 27, childless and didn’t have a pro photographer back then
Oh hey friends! Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been busy partying (OK, just on Saturday night) and just busy in general but now I am back into it! It was so much fun but so scary at the same time shooting this look. Other bloggers would know what I mean, that when you do a photoshoot you usually do it around the comfort of your home, street or backyard but venturing out of your comfort zone can be a little… well… embarrassing? This shoot took place outside one of my favourite cafe’s, Grapeseed and it was so funny to see people look at me like “Who the heck is she?” must have been the sunglasses? The photographer? Anywho, I thought it was an awesome location with the yellow signage, an awesome mix of textures and the caught in the moment street style, definitely one of my favs for the year.
a lazy Sunday arvo and I thought this quirky casual look would be perfect to share with you. I snapped up this oh-so-fake Jeremy Scott Bart jumper from one of my fav little Asian stores at Westfield Southland when I was blogging for the Dolly Model Competition. I love a good jumper and I thought this one would be a bit of fun, I just toned it down with all black and gave a hint of sports chic with my snapback! Oh, Sunday, how I love thee.
The 90′s, love it or lump it, the revival is here and so are dungarees. For those of you like me who remember them as plain ol’ overalls that you use to doodle flowers on them with your puff fabric paint and cool smiley face badges pinned all over them, they might not exactly be your cup of tea in 2013. I love a challenge, especially a fashion challenge and I just had to get myself a pair and see if I could pull it off. East 17 would be loving me sick right now, all I needed were my doc martins and a snap back to be apart of a 90′s tribute boy band. I think I did all right, what do you think?
Spots are totally cool right now and of corse I just had to do the matchy matchy combo. I would call this a mix of Sports x Neat look, the hat adding the sports element and the trousers/shirt/shoes being the neat.
