So here we are in late 2011 and little old Melbourne Australia opens it’s first TOPSHOP TOPMAN store 37 years after the first ever stand alone TOPSHOP opened in the UK. We can all recall the overwealmng feeling of fashion frenzy when we walked into our first TOPSHOP store whilst on our travels overseas. That feeling of purchasing a garment that is so ahead of it’s time for back home and thrilled at the idea that no one else will be wearing it. I remember walking into the Oxford Street Flagship store and needing to rest my darting eyes and sore feet from the grand scale of fashion that me, a Melbourne girl just quite couldn’t comprehend- a shopping experience unseen back home.

As you know I am a huge UK labels fan and I am thrilled that I will be saving shipping/handling costs on at least one of my fav UK brands now that TOPSHOP Melbourne has arrived (and walking distance from where I live might I add!!)

I was super lucky to attend the launch party Wednesday night. Torstar PR put a a ripper event that was first class all the way. Fabulous food, drink and music, the crowd excited and buzzing over the fashion forward clothing and relieved that the stock was current and not just left overs or last season as we have seen before with other newcomers. Our TOPSHOP store is real, it’s fabulous and it will give those new to the brand that same old feeling I had walking into my first TOPSHOP store in the UK. Now… as for the trends… LOVE EMBELLISHMENT go crazy on it! POP colour shoes, the best jeans range you will wear and accessories to power any outfit!
