I received an email the other day from a lovely and long time follower. She asked me if I would kindly put together an idea of what she should be looking for for her winter wardrobe. I did promise her that I would go live with this yesterday, however I am in the midst of fashion week here in Melbourne, so here it is.

Amber, is a mum like me, so it is all about easy chic. Even if you are not a parent, life is busy, so having go-to outfits for winter takes the time out of starting into a full wardrobe but not knowing what to wear. This is how I see winter: denim, a tshirt or top, layer with a denim shirt or jumper and then layer that with a coat/jacket/blazer or cardigan. You don’t need to wear a ‘dressy top’ in winter, it is about looking cool with your layers. A denim shirt is my go-to which can be worn on top of a basic top or even under a jumper with the collar popped and sleeved rolled up and exposed under the jumper. Black jeans and blue jeans should be on rotation and slip on some ankle boots, high or low and you are out! I really wanted to put up some examples of winter street style but I have run out of time, so your homework is to google ‘winter street style’.
