From the moment Marc Jacobs showcased the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 13 collection at Paris fashion week in late 2012, the only thing I could think about was owning a checked mini dress. With the 60′s mod style running through my blood and regularly being referred to as a Bridget Bardot look alike (really???) I was on a mission to find myself a piece of LV but at a price that this dear little mumma could afford. Finally! This little playsuit was found and lives comfortably in my wardrobe giving me my monochrome edge to 2013.

I might be back in sunny Melbourne but my Paris coverage is not over. Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the third time felt just as special as it did the first. Coming back to Paris as a fashion blogger gave me a great opportunity to do my outfit posts with the most movie like backdrop in the world, just to step it up a notch.
This is one of my fav outfits I wore during my five days, my matching Shakuhachi cape and skirt in tartan give me great confidence, I am not sure why but I felt so Paris-chic but with a punk edge. As I am loving the matchy/clashy trend I added these tartan stockings in for some dimension.

Melbourne, you are really turning up the heat this December aren’t you? Or perhaps its the 12/12/12 date that is stirring things up in the atmosphere. All I know is that it’s damn hot and I actually don’t really like Summer. Yep, I said it, I am a Winter girl through and through and when it comes to fashion I don’t really own much Summer clothes. I am not one to reveal a lot of skin, I hate feeling pasty and not tanned enough, I am so fussy when it comes to sunglasses, tend to wear a long sleeve where possible and ankle boots are my BFF. All this aside, I do have a few Summer exceptions, such as this ensemble. These Chloe sunglasses are the ONLY sunglasses that suit my head and my style, I had to purchase them in two colours (which is a good tip to do incase the designer discontinues your favourite style) I am obsessed with my little white dress by Keepsake the label (who I am currently going crazy over ATM) it is very girly, a great length and covers enough for me to feel sexy, fun yet Summer-sophisticated.
Yes, I am a bit of a princess in Summer but I am sure there are others out there who feel me on this. Can you recommend any other cool brands I should keep my eye out for to help me build my Summer-drobe?
