Shanghai Baby

This is my Paris-Shanghai inspired look, featuring my Karl Lagerfeld knit that I just adore! It is so easy to ‘create’a look or an inspired look just by playing with what you have in your wardrobe. I felt this Lagerfeld knit had a very Asian kimono style feel so with this as my base I played with other pieces to totally embody my desired look- Paris Shanghai. Of course I had to add in some Karl style glove as my arms were so bare, a little mini dress underneath the knit and my fav YSL killer heels, not to mention the hair and make up to go with it.

A big thanks to my followers for your support! If you dont already do so, I would love you to follow me too here

Prada heels!! wish they were mine!!!

Silent Auction bidding!

This polaroid snap of Tania Braukamper and I was taken by Allan from fashionising.com (thanks Allan!)

Me and my cage dress glamed up on Saturday night for the 2010 Fashion Aid Gala. Raising awareness and funds for Mission Australia, the evening was flourishing with a good mix of a, b, c and f grade celebrities, fashion lovers, designers and football WAGS. Jessica Mauboy was the headliner and sang all her hit songs that I love and danced the night away to. I went my friend Cecylia and a table of friends, including my best friend Jasmine, and on the table behind us were our good ol’ friends Tania, Daniel and Allan from my fav web site fashionising.com

Oh oh and I borrowed these Prada shoes and Chanel necklace from a store (and also online store) Love Me & Leave Me! How perfect! I really didnt spend that much on this outfit, it was all borrowed! even this AMAZING!!! asos cage dress from my sister in law!

Dont forget to post a comment on my Giveaway for your chance to win the leopard print belt- quickly before I chose the winner on Saturday!!

Enjoy the snaps, I can wait to read your comments about them! and thanks to my followers for your support xxxx

Flow

I am all settled back into home and reality from my holiday to Indonesia and Singapore last week. As I slowly unpack my over packed suitcase, I admire my beautiful purchases I collected over the three shopping days. Zara, Topshop and River Island got a good work out, I think I purchased almost one of everything for those stores. I was a little disappointedwith the shoe selection, however I did manage to pick up some stunning black and fur heels from Zara, that I am sure I will feature in my coming posts. Oh I was soooo close to purchasing the Miu Miu leopard print heels, but it was between those and a tan Chloe bag… Chloe won because I will use it to death and as mentioned in past posts I was in desperate need of the perfect tan bag! I cant wait to show you all my purchases as I put my looks together each day, so stay tuned…

Thanks to all my readers and new readers for all your lovely comments, I get excited when I see I have a new comment on my beloved blog!! I also love checking out your blogs too xxxx

River Island blouse, Chanel headband, Asos ring, Alldressedup skirt and belt, Sportsgirl stockings, Friend of Mine fur boots.

The perfect find…

Sometimes.. sometimesyou can be sooo lucky and find an amazing vintage designer piece. Four years ago, whilst on a merchandising trip to Sydney, I discovered a vintage store off Oxford St and saw this adorable skirt in the window. At the time I just liked the look of it, what a statement! and as I tried it on I discovered it was Issey Miyake!! ahhh!!! I love that! I have had many wear out of it and have lots more to come.

My necklace is vintage Chanel, I picked it up in a vintage store Gabrielle Gebbert, on my last trip to Paris. I am thinking it was late 1980′s (during Karl’s first 10 years at least), ok.. it is actually a belt but I prefer it as a necklace!!

The shoes are old school Marc Jacobs and my top (you may remember from a shoot I did) is from a local boutique Bue.

This is a very romantic look I think. The look could have gone all wrong and I could have looked like a clown with the frill neck and bright colours of the skirt, but I tried to tone it down a notch :) :)

Who needs a tan?

Who said you need a tan to look good?? Well, I did for a start. My tan Chloe boots needed to come out of the closet and show off how beautiful they are. I found them in a second hand store in Paris- what a find! apparently a stylist wore them once and couldnt be seen in them again. If only I had this stylist phone number, I would have the best looking feet in town at half the cost!

Actually this outfit is made up of alot of vintage pieces, the shoes, the Chanel necklace and the amazing vintage fur cropped coat is from my lovely friend Cecylia, who generously gave me this for my 27th bday! I am so lucky!

Mixing vintage with new is a great way to make a statement!

What do you think?

Vintage fur jacket, Vintage Chanel necklace, GAS Bijoux cross necklace, Asos denim, Chloe sunglasses and boots, Fendi tan bag and ring, mix of rings from Asos, Fiorina and a Chanel x
