The expert

Don’t we all want to be an expert at working the colourful print pants into our outfits? You know I like to be creative, but don’t tell me that you can’t pull this look off yourself. The key to making it work is by making the pant the hero and giving it a related support cast, in this case, I chose to work with the coral colour that is speckled in the print and so I pulled out my coral blazer. Let your print tell you what colours to pair them with by choosing one of the colours in the print itself and remember to keep your bottom half darker than your top. Now who is the expert?

The B R I T

R E D   W H I T E    A N D    B L U E

Apart from my fixation on all things Paris, I am OBSESSED with London. The style, the stores, the people, Mr Bean, ASOS, Topshop, All Saints, bloggers, the Union Jack, the accent, David Beckham, Harrods and Burberry- L O V E  I T  A L L! Sometimes I wish I could click my fingers and transport myself there instead of the 24 hour flight it takes but with a sneaky stop over in Dubai.

This is my tribute x

What would Lee Do???

I thought I would share with you the snap that my favourite Aussie Street Style Blogger (and fashionista himself) Lee Oliveira took of me last week!

As mentioned I was involve in a Bloggers for Sarah Conners Campaign (can’t wait to share the pics with you later this year) showcasing her stunning and luxurious handbags and accessories. Most of you who follow my blog would know Lee has been my blogger friend since the day I started my blog and he always has something fashionably lovely to say bout my outfits and with his superb eye for detail behind the lens of his camera, he has travelled the world to bring his readers quality and fun fashion from the streets. At the end of the shoot, Lee had me do a little pose (ok, he didn’t have to force me, even though it was the first time we met in real life he still knew that I was a poser!) for him to showcase on his blog. Check it out and see the other two bloggers Jasmin and Bianca their street style looks!

Don’t forget to FOLLOW ME!!! Oh, and a big HELLO to my new followers!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kisses xxxx

Photographer: Lee Oliveira!!!! yey finally I get to say it!!

This is me

I love putting outfits together each day, but the first step for me (apart from assessing the weather) is to work out what it is I am doing that day. Am I  shopping? Do I have a meeting? Am I styling? Or am I having a day with mum? Usually if I have a meeting, going shopping or attending an event I will style myself with statement pieces and the essential layering pieces- be it jewellery, shoes or a vest. But for those days with mum, hanging about the home or visiting a friend I have my: Me- Jess Dempsey look which is essentially my 4 key pieces:

1: My Chanel stretch flats (yes I wear flats- in fact I live in them on an average day between the hours of 9-5.30 )

2: A basic T-shirt (preferably my Acne basic tee)

3: A blazer (statement colour or just a black one, Zara usually)

and 4: My silver essential jewellery pieces Fiorina and GAS Bijoux necklaces (which I wear at least 6 days a week)

It is not often you will see snaps of me on my blog wearing something so Jess and so casual because as you know I love playing with fashion- but I thought I would show you how important it is to have some key essentials in your wardrobe for those run-out-the-door looks xxx

Stay tuned for my giveaway!!! xxxxx

Who needs a tan?

Who said you need a tan to look good?? Well, I did for a start. My tan Chloe boots needed to come out of the closet and show off how beautiful they are. I found them in a second hand store in Paris- what a find! apparently a stylist wore them once and couldnt be seen in them again. If only I had this stylist phone number, I would have the best looking feet in town at half the cost!

Actually this outfit is made up of alot of vintage pieces, the shoes, the Chanel necklace and the amazing vintage fur cropped coat is from my lovely friend Cecylia, who generously gave me this for my 27th bday! I am so lucky!

Mixing vintage with new is a great way to make a statement!

What do you think?
