australian fashion blogger jdempsey_feb_112 jdempsey_feb_101-1 jdempsey_feb_090 jdempsey_feb_095I am very much over the Australian Summer and as a statement I am going to wear my layers and pants despite the weather forecast as a sign of protest. Lucky for me, Paris Fashion Week will see me wearing my Winter layering goodness, so until then, I am ignoring the disgusting heat as much as possible!

On a lighter note, this outfit is still Summer fresh with some good skin coverage. I picked up the deeper blue tones from the pant detail and paired it with this print top. A pop of red nail actually really worked with this look!

Today I was quoted in the Herald Sun about my tips for winter fashion. To those of you who are loyal followers of my blog you would have known that shearling, fur and lace is in and thanks to my addiction to online shopping from international stores I already have a winter-full wardrobe with lace, capes, shearling, blankets and camels.

On another note-

Two important things to me are: fashion and helping those in need and the two have been combined for a fantastic cocktail soiree & runway show on the rooftop at Melbourne’s Whitehouse Institute in support of Tracky Dack Day- awareness of kids battling illnesses and injuries in hospital

Expect fashion from Carla Zampatti, Aurelio Costarella, J’Aton, Jenny Bannister, Anthony Capon, Ellery, Rachel Gilbert and LifeWithBird (just to name a few) celebrities, media, and a unique showcase of designs created especially for this one night event hosted by Sarah Gale and styled by Australia’s leading fashion and celebrity stylist, Philip Boon.

I will be there and many of my blogger friends- hope to see you too!
