Ladies Day or should I say fashion day? It was definitely the day for the fashionistas to take centre stage and turn it up for the lads. Oaks Day was my favourite day for fashion and the ladies in the Lexus Design Pavilion could do no wrong. Nadia Fairfax looked fresh and chic in Ellery and Izoa pop blue heels, Emma Notarfrancesco looked the girly-girl in Rodeo Show and Viktoria Novak and me? Well, I saved this Clover Canyon outfit for this special day.
I was so lucky to be able to dine in the pop up Attica restaurant on the first floor in the Lexus Pavilion. As expected, it was an exceptional dining experience with flavours and creative techniques I have not tried before, kangaroo for example! The menu featured Wattle Seed bread and butter, Walnut in shell, Salted Red Kangaroo, King George Whiting in paper bark and to finish, Pukeko’s Egg (amazing chocolate filled egg). The kangaroo was actually delicious, despite my hesitance to try it, it was soft and fresh and had me wanting more. This experience was definitely the topic of conversation all day long!
