Myer Marquee Melbourne Cup Carnival- Derby Day
Derby day as expected was buzzing with tens of thousands of Melbournians dressed to perfection at the Flemington racecourse and I knew that the Myer Marquee in the birdcage was going to be the fashion hub. My excitement continued as I entered the space that felt like a beautiful Spring garden with pastel floral arrangements throughout and matching bar staff looking dapper in pastel checked shirts serving delicate food in the same hues. For me, I have longed to attend the Myer marquee and the best way to describe it is that it oozed fashion, I was home! The relevance of the pastel and floral details were the perfect reflection to our current fashion trends and of course it seemed fit that the guest list had a strong designer presence with names such as Sass & Bide and Maticevski enjoying the illuminate atmosphere. Jennifer Hawkins is even more attractive in real life and Hamish and Andy seemed to have their friends grinning all day. My sister in law Louise wore a stunning black and white Rouland Mouret dress, one of the many high end designers available at Myer. I am very excited to pop back in on Cup Day to mingle with our fashion best and share my day with you! xo

Fantastic, your beautiful photos are just the inspiration I needed to get me through making the last of my cup head pieces.
Love the head pieces, especially the black and white flower one, beautiful! 🙂
