Let me start off by saying, I started this blog post last night and actually fell asleep on my computer not long after uploading these images. I must have been seriously tired as that has never happened to me before. On the positive, I was going to chat about how I was meeting Khloe Kardashian the following day and how excited I was, so instead, let me chat about what actually happened today when I met her!
This morning I got up early (6am) so I could do my hair and make-up in peace before the kids woke up, I had to be out the door by 8:15 to drop the baby at my in-laws house so Aston and I could make our 11am flight to Sydney (Melbourne airport traffic is crazy so I had to allow a lot of time). Aston was all decked out in his Kardashian Kids boys clothes and I had my KK heels on as we landed in sunny Sydney. The KK was launching their collation into Big W stores and we celebrated in Watsons Bay overlooking the stunning Sydney skyline beyond the bay. Kids were everywhere, having fun, doing crafts, riding on small rides, being entertained by fairies with American accents and sipping on coconut water, the adults, were waiting for Khloe.
I knew she would enter any minute now and I had just signed a release form as they were filming KUWTK (OMG!) and then, I spot Malika her BFF and soon to be on the new series Dash Dolls. I friggen love her, I think it was her YSL bag and Louboutins that caught my attention first, being one of the only fashion bloggers and not-quite mummy blogger in the room. As they announced Khloe’s name for her to come and address the crowd, I was looking over the heads of the crowd, waiting for a very tall, blonde to make her way through and before I knew it she was already in front of me. What? You aren’t ridiculously tall? Ummm Koko, you be like normal girl and your sisters? they must simply be short! The absolutely stunning Khloe Kardashian is not that much taller than me- so there you have it.
I was lucky enough to have a quick chat and say hi and she is 100% normal, happy, friendly and so accommodating to everyone who wanted her photo, she spent over an hour enjoying her time with the 50 or so guests. Always with a smile on her face, it was actually mesmerising how someone so famous (lets be honest- so famous that my grandparents know who she is) could be, well so normal.
It just so happens that the timing of me sharing this outfit comes at the time I met the girl who actually inspired this look. Does the red checked shirt round the waist look familiar? You could say What would Khloe do? Well, in this case, yes you could!
