I am so happy to share the next Kardashian Kollection collaboration with you, shot in sunny LA back in June at the Beverly Wilshire. You might remember the first of my three KK looks went live a few months back (here) and I was waiting until we hit high spring summer before releasing the next two.
It is no secret that I love the Kardashian’s, for me, I don’t see them as the celebrity-it-girls that so many young girls see them as, for me, in my 30’s they attract me in a new way. I see them as new style icons and forward thinking business women.
Did you know they each have a blog?
Gone are the days where we only look at runway models and bloggers for fashion inspiration, today, we all know what Kim wore last week, we know that she paved the way for a blonde lob hairstyle and that military style will not go out of fashion any time soon. These three women, as style icons, inspire women with curves on how to feel confident and sexy in their own skin and that there are no limits to style when it comes to what size you are. I love that they each are uniquely shaped, although sisters, and their Kardashian Kollection shines a hint of each of their personal styles.
Kourtney, whom I relate to the most in terms of both fashion and mama-hood, is the most petite of the three, rocks the man-style trend and loves a good white shirt with a pussy-bow as much as I do. Khloe, taught me the art of plaid shirt waist tying to complete an outfit and Kim, well, her high end designer fetish is as thick as my own.
I know the value of a voice and an honest voice at that. It has been my mantra over my almost six years of blogging, so trust me when I say, I think these sisters have done an amazing job with their Kardashian Kollection clothing range. When you see past the celebrity icon status and realise that you actually have all this time been seeing them now as style icons, the appreciation and respect is clear, their shit is good and you actually can’t deny.
See these boots? They are a go-to of mine, I have a similar designer pair that are often left behind on the shelf at home because these ones are so comfy. True story.
