We might be in the middle of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, but it doesn’t mean we are too late to talk all things racing fashion. This post is about two things, the first to inspire you for your last minute or future racing outfits and of course, for the imminent party season. The second is to introduce you to the much loved UK global brand REISS and it’s new home in Melbourne.
Very soon, Melbourne will welcome a new fashion destination and when I say fashion, I mean fashion that is luxury and desired international brands, you would know and love from your travels to the UK or Paris.
St Collins Lane will be the newest luxury retail precinct in gorgeous Melbourne and will house, for the first time on Aussie shores, brands such as Maje, Sandro and REISS to name a few. If you are like me and I bet you are if you are reading my blog, you love international fashion, you love purchasing your wardrobe on your travels overseas and, well, you love wearing brands and garments that you won’t see the whole of Melbourne wearing (including your ex boyfriends new chick you always seem to bump into at events! gah!)
I have teamed up with St Collins Lane and one of their ultimate retail partners, REISS, to showcase four of my favourite pieces that I selected for a Spring Racing edit. I can tell you now, it was pretty tricky trying to narrow down only four looks for the four main race days at the Melbourne Cup, but I think I did pretty well with these diverse pieces, showing you just how stunning, fashion forward, yet classic REISS is and I have to mention how great the quality is- second to none!
Although REISS and St Collins Lane are not open yet here in Melbourne, I urge you, from one fashion person to another, make yourself familiar with the brand online and keep your eyes and ears peeled for developments of the opening of St Collins Lane, it is going to be something really special in this equally special city of Melbourne.
Little more info:
Formerly known as ‘Australia on Collins’, the premium retail site is currently undergoing a $30million refurbishment to transform the centre into a luxury fashion destination in the heart of Melbourne’s shopping precinct.
Once complete, the centre will house over 9,000sqm of retail space with 60 luxury boutiques and a number of premium restaurants housed in a dining terrace. It will be valued at over $200m and will have reinstated a missing lane way link between Collins Street and Little Collins Street, which was largely ignored by the previous centre’s design.
