I remember three years ago just before Spring Racing, my aunty wanted me to come shopping with her to help select her prefect race day look. Being a stylist and loving niece, I was thrilled at the idea of a shopping day with my aunty and her two kids under, well, two. I was quick to learn that a shopping day for a mum with two little tackers was not so easy and with the cost of formula, nappies and wipes on the budget we had to be realistic with where we shopped. So, Target it was! A regular for aunt, now she was a mum, but for me (not a mother at the time) it was, well, Target!
I still recall the moment when my perception of the brand I bought my undies from changed on that day, I was pulling dresses, skirts and tops left right and centre with so many on-trend options for her to choose from, I thought to myself ‘Where have I been this whole time?” Since that day, Target have evolved ten fold as I mentioned to you in the Gok event post and my aunty set the challenge for me to create a spring outfit for myself in top to toe Target and show my readers. Let’s just say, I nailed this challenge and it was so much fun. I found myself trying on loads of skirts, tops, denim and dresses all of which styles I have seen come through with other well known retailers and finally fell in love with this look (under $200)
Not just because I am a mum, but because I am a fashion loving person, I will continue to listen to both my aunties (the other being aunty Gok) and make Target my shopping option. I mean, whats the difference between shopping Target and any other high street brand? I guess it’s the same but you get a better price at Target and I still get to mix this modern, on-trend outfit with my high end designer shoes, bag and accessories!
I think we have a winner with Target Spring Fashion! Do yourself and your purse a favour and check it out! I wouldn’t be pushing it so much if I wasn’t this passionate, I assure you!

“…it was, well, target”, love that little comment – so so true! When I worked in the city, I’d often walk through Target as a short cut. Many a time I found myself eyeing off particular items, as (like you said) they were completely on-trend with crazy affordable prices. It just goes to show, you really can’t judge these ‘budget’ stores on preconceived conceptions. They’re really starting to step up to the plate!
Absolutely love the outfit you chose – can’t believe it was all under $200! I’m particularly loving that shirt.

Seriously, I can’t believe your outfit were all from Target. I especially love the blouse and shoes! Right on Target…or should I say, Target gets it right.
