Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I am born and bred in the western suburbs of Melbourne, aka Hoppers Crossing/Werribee or better known as Wezza if you are a local. Although I no longer live on that side of the city anymore, my heart does and so does my family. Most Sundays I drive out there to catch up with my family and have a Maltese feast and all the little cousins can play. It seems love did come to town back in 2004 for me when I went to the local night club, Volt, located at the Werribee Plaza and there I met my husband. I didn’t realise that he too was from the area, he was a year above me at the same primary school and his sister was in my brother’s class the year below me. Our grandparents knew each other and so did our mothers but I never crossed his path until that night.
I am going to say it, I love Hoppers Crossing and Werribee. It is a place I spent most of my life, a place I feel so comfortable in and a place I call home and it is with saying this that I am so excited to announce that I am now the Fashion Ambassador for the Werribee Plaza!
I am absolutely over the moon! I am so passionate about the Werribee Plaza (or ‘Plaza’ as I have known it my entire life, since seeing Agro appear there when I was little) and I am really excited to see the re-development unfold as they bring in a lot more fashion stores, (some of my favourite retailers) make the Myer into a larger store and unveil the entertainment precinct with new restaurants and gold class.
I have fond memories from the age of about 13 of me and a friend getting dropped off at the Plaza by our mums and we would walk around window shopping and dreaming of owning what the mannequins were wearing, only buying a nail polish or two because thats all we could afford, oh, and check out the boy situation too! My first job in fashion is thanks to the Plaza, I worked at the Jay Jays store for three years.
Now, at the age of 31, a wife, two kids and a fashion blog, my role as the Fashion Ambassador for the Werribee Plaza means something more to me. It means that I get to no longer be that little girl looking through the window admiring the clothes but now be the one styling the clothes and to stand proud and share with my new world a part of where I am from.
Whether you shop at the Werribee Plaza or not, its time to jump on my fashion train and I will keep you in the loop of all the fashion events, great must-have fashion finds and styling tips at the Plaza via my blog and social media. Who knows, you just might meet your future husband there!
First up: Fashion Week runs from 4 Sptember – 7 September at Werribee Plaza Centre Cout with unbeatable offers, 8 runway shows and styling advice on stage! I will be in store at the VIP fashion show on Thursday 4 September at 7pm

That is so exciting Jess! Congrats! 😀
Congratulations, that is a great collaboration. I think your heart always has fond memories of the malls you ran around in your teens with friends. Trying on clothes, checking out boys, etc. I wish you all the best. AND DON’T FALL OFF THAT ROOF! Haha, it looks very precarious!
