I was so happy to see so many of you check out my last post, the things you didn’t know about me. It’s so great knowing just how many of you check in to my blog and have a good old fashioned stalk read. Sometimes instagram can satisfy you enough that you don’t click through to view a persons website, I know, I have been there, but I often wonder, if instagram disappeared, and that person you follow doesn’t have a website/blog that they own, then what would they be left with? Call me old fashioned but I am a blogger, blog comes first and instagram second. Besides, you get a little more out of your favourite influencer through the product that they actually own. A place they can be honest and hope to inspire you in more way than fashion and to let you know their struggles and good times so you never feel alone.

I believe that you learn something new everyday and I embrace that as part of growing/maturing to learn from mistakes and to better yourself. The other day, my friend said two words to me that struck a cord with me and this person, herself, was told this by one of her friends. The two words were: WORRY LESS.

Think about it for one minute. Two simple words that have been put together many times, you would have heard it many times and perhaps said it many times, but have you really stopped and let it sink in, at a time you really needed it?

WORRY LESS

Here is my example: I was worrying about something over the weekend that I had to get off my chest to my friend, I had to keep talking about it and justify why I thought I was right and why things are going to be ok, but I kept worrying. The words I was saying were just words and reasons, examples and I repeated the same things over and over again, thinking this conversation would make the thing I was worrying about disappear. It wasn’t until my friend came out and said ‘You know Jess, I think you know its going to be ok, you won’t be thinking about this in two weeks time, you need to WORRY LESS.’

She was right. Nothing I could do at that moment, that day or time to change the situation, so why worry? It was not going to change the situation if I worried about it.

I went on with my day.

Another example, which I told my friend I had to share with my readers is… nah, I think I might save that for my next blog post, I feel like I could go on and on about it and this post is already too long as it is. Stay tuned til later this week and I will tell you why I worry about wearing lipstick. Yep, lipstick! Have you noticed I never wear it? Until then, take those two words ‘WORRY LESS’ and adapt it into your situation. Break down the reasons why you shouldn’t worry at that exact time and put them in their place, and move on- WORRY LESS, it’s so simple isn’t it?
