The key to my styling is mixing high street fashion with high end designer wardrobe investments. I know, you hear it all the time, but it is a really good way to work with fashion. Think about it, through your life, you go up and down sizing, therefore the clothing for everyday should be affordable (with a few key wardrobe staple exceptions like a leather jacket, blazer etc) and also on trend for that time. I look at my shoes and handbags and they are all investment pieces that will always fit me and will stay in my wardrobe forever.

I did a wardrobe cull today and I easily culled the high street fashion pieces, they served a fabulous purpose for me over the years, but now the trends might have gone or they are pieces that I haven’t worn in a long time and what was left behind? The designer names that will (hopefully, with any luck) be passed down to my daughter (here’s hoping I have one!) I am not sure where or how I will sell these pieces but I will keep you posted on this.

PS- how cute are my Hermes loafers I picked up at one of my favourite vintage stores in Paris, Gabrielle Geppert! Every time I am in Paris, I visit her and pick up something to remember that trip by.
