Now that my baby is getting bigger, I am finding it harder in the mornings to get ready. He seems to be more needy now that he is out of the newborn stage and is more alert and awake. This means, my time is limited to get ready and I seem to be wearing the same outfits on repeat. I get loads of Direct Messages on Instagram daily (which I respond to every one) and alot are requests about fashion and what to wear or where I get my clothes from. I thought I would share with you two of my favourite looks that are so simple, they really just consist of two items each.
The first is the Denim Shorts and blouse. It is summer here in Aus, and at the moment, I am preferring shorts over skirts. I have a few good pairs of denim cut off shorts that I wear all the time on hot days and because I prefer to have my legs out, rather than my top half. With my post baby body still being bigger than my usual body, I go up a size (So I am usually an 8 but right now I am a 10) and I always, always, get a mid or high waisted option.
I love wearing blouses or shirts as they are easy for breast-feeding and, I find them flattering and a tad bit dressy to balance out the casual-ness of the denim shorts.
I found some options below for you to shop right now if you like any other the pieces. Simply click the left and right arrows to seem more, and then if you like something, just click or tap the item and it will take you direct to the online store to shop it.
I will mention it more in the below outfit details, but a simple tuck of the shirt/blouse can be so flattering compared to leaving it tucked out. You can even wear cropped items if you have a high waist bottom.

The second outfit I simply throw on is jeans and a t-shirt. Like you saw in my last fashion edit, I love logo t-shirts and I have a nice little collection going. I simply grab any t-shirt I have and pair it with any of my jeans. At the moment, I am only wearing high waisted or mid waisted denim and it is more flattering for my post-baby-belly. I find the high waist creates an illusion of slimming, it directs the eye to the smallest part of my waist and with a small tuck of a t-shirt it will hide the tummy and look a lot better than creating the ‘fashion lines’ lower at my hips where it is widest. Give it a go, stand in front of the mirror and play around with tucking in your top into your jeans, try tucking in a little in the middle, then take it out and try tuck at the sides and see what looks better for you.
