Every girls wardrobe defines them: how they present themselves, that special purchase they made on their travels, that one luxury piece that they treasure oh-so-dearly as it cost them two months rent, their mum’s dress or necklace from the 60’s and the oldest piece in the wardrobe that they would never part with.

By now, you kind of know my wardrobe and the pieces I have as I showcase them regularly on my blog since I started blogging back in early 2010 and for those who recall in one of my first ever posts I call my wardrobe ‘my haven’ my escape. I came up with the idea of doing a video blog of my wardrobe when a dear blogger friend Cecylia came over for a visit and after seeing my wardrobe she suggested I show it to my readers. It is funny because I am a little nervous in front of the video camera (as you will see) despite posing in front of an DSLR most days. I also realised that my readers don’t really know me apart from what they perceive of me from my images. My friends and blogger friends know me and my personality but you, the lovely reader who I am yet to meet don’t, so I hope that this video shows a different side to me compared to the posed stills you have seen before.

Taking centre stage in my wardrobe are the usual suspects from High End: Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Miu Miu and YSL to High Street: ASOS (85% of my wardrobe is definitely built by ASOS) Topshop, Mossman, River Island, Oasis and Warehouse to name a few and as you know my outfits are styled with the ‘high’s’ mix.

My photographer Lisa Frieling, who has been the official What Would Karl Do? photographer since way back when, created this vimeo for me. I wish I could turn the camera around on her to show you how beautiful and genuinely lovely this girl is, not to mention extremely talented as you, yourself have witnessed with my photos. Lisa totally knows my vision and is an amazing talent who spent hours into perfecting, producing and filming this short film for me.

Many thanks to the talented boys from Melbourne’s The Messengers, for allowing us to use their amazing track, ‘We Can’t Get Along’. Hope you enjoy xo
